Times have been tough for associations in the last few years. The pandemic hit us all hard, and for most nonprofit organizations it meant a loss of membership and revenue. But challenges also present opportunities. A bold new vision statement can inspire hope and refocus the organization’s efforts.

 

At a recent ASAE event, thought leaders identified "five crucial considerations for exceptional associations" as described in this Associations Now article. These considerations will identify key factors to include in your new vision.

 

The guide from the Nonprofit Association of Washington provides a comprehensive process for strategic planning. It is an excellent resource for a nonprofit organization to develop a strategic plan with little or no outside assistance.
